I wrote my first book in Kindergarten. It featured a dog (which was odd since my family didn't own a dog) and not much else of note. But when my teacher went and had it professionally bound with a hardback cover, it made an impression.
These days, while actively seeking to reclaim the 'published author' title, I continue to tell stories in the form of long essays and short headlines.
When I'm not telling stories, I'm finding inspiration for them with my husband, two children and two cats.
