About me

I wrote my first book in Kindergarten. It featured a dog and not much of a plot. But when my teacher professionally bound it with a hardback cover, she made an impression. I still have that book.

These days, I actively pursue the 'published author' title. And I continue to tell stories in the form of quirky picture books and magical middle grades, long essays and short headlines.

When I'm not telling stories, I'm finding inspiration for them with my husband, two children and two cats.

About my work

LTYM: DC ● 5/3/15 ● National Geographic's Grosvenor Auditorium

On May 3, 2015, I joined the cast of DC's production of Listen to Your Mother and brought my words to the stage.

As a Washington DC based freelance writer, I weave words into compelling copy and stories designed to inspire, educate, and entertain.

My words have appeared in Pregnancy and Newborn magazine, The Washington Post, the Huffington Post, Mamalode, Scary Mommy, Brain, Child, and more. I've written for Marriott, CustomInk, New York Life, and MorganFranklin.
